He made the comments at the opening ceremony of the protection unit for street children (Zamung project).
Imran Khan said that KPK Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had taken the responsibility of these abandoned street children, which was a matter of pride.
He paid tribute to his former wife Reham Khan and said that it was her who had first raised the voice in favour of street children.
Imran Khan further said that in the western society, even animal rights are taken care of while at the same time, we were unable to provide people with clean drinking water. That is why, he said, we must now prioritize providing people with clean drinking water.
Addressing the event, the PTI chairman said that Pakistan was formed on the basis of a great idealogy. He said that we must return to the same ideology on which Pakistan was founded. He said that Pakistan must have been made into an Islamic Welfare State.
