Rangers officials said they have arrested at least six suspects including two notorious target killers from Karachi.
Both the target killers were taken into custody during a search operation in the Bahadarabad area.
The arrested target killers, Kashif and Junaid, belong to the militant wing of a political party and have confessed to their involvement in several killings in the city, said a Rangers spokesperson.
According to the spokesperson, they were also involved in Karachi May 12 violence and murder cases of Advocate Sohail Anjum and Advocate Waheed Ahmed.
They even admitted that they killed at least six workers of Sunni Tehreek in another terror incident.
Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies arrested at least 12 suspects during a combing operation in the Lahore city.
Nationwide combing operations were launched following a deadly suicide attack in Quetta, the provincial capital of the trouble-hit Balochistan province that killed more than 70 mostly lawyers and media professionals and wounded several others.
