According to the details issued by ECP, nine candidates have submitted the nomination forms from Islamabad whereas 33 nomination papers have been received from tribal areas.
ECP has received 23 forms from Punjab whereas 28 candidates have filed forms from Sindh. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 39 forms have been submitted whereas 12 forms have been received from Balochistan.
The election commission stated that the nomination forms, being scrutinized under Article 62 and 63 of the constitution, have been sent to the concerned agencies for examination.
The data of the candidates has been sought from National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) whereas letters have also been sent to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Water and Power Ministry, Interior Ministry and the police chiefs of all four provinces.
