Deaths owing to lack of food and malnutrition in Tharparkar have been on the rise yet again, as two more female children died.
According to details, a one-month old female child died due to malnutrition. The past month, as many as 51 children had died due to hunger and malnutrition. Diseases and hunger have been claiming lives in Thar since a long time.
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah’s promises have yet to prove true for the people of Thar. On Thursday, a child had died in the Civil Hospital as a result of water-borne diseases.
Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto has constituted a committee comprises of information adviser Moula Bux Chandio and food minister Nasir Shah to look into the situation in Thar.
