25 suspects arrested during search operations in Karachi
KARACHI: At least 25 suspects were arrested during overnight search operations conducted by police and Rangers officials in the port city, ARY News reported on Monday.
Crackdown against militants and troublemakers continued late last night where police and Rangers personnel did door-to-door search operations in Patel Para and its adjoining neighbourhoods, apprehending five suspects.
Meanwhile, a group of police officers led by Superintendent of police (SP) Gulberg arrested at least 10 suspects after a raid in Bhangoria Goth and transferred them to their investigation units.
Similarly, another targeted operation was conducted in the environs of Pehalwan Goth in Karachi and arrested more seven suspects.
In the area of Gulistan-e-Johar, three suspects were also taken into custody by police officials from Hussain Hazara Goth during an overnight operation.
A joint grand operation against militants banned outfits and miscreants has been underway in Karachi since long led by the government of Sindh in a bid to improve deteriorating law and order situation in the city.
