35 Jamaat-ud-Dawa members placed on ECL

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior on Wednesday reportedly placed thirty-five members of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa on the Exit Control List (ECL) and barred them from travelling abroad, ARY News reported.

The Interior Ministry had on Monday placed five leaders including Hafiz Muhammad Saeed under house arrest, and placed its charity wing  Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF) on the watch list for next six months, and frozen all financial assets of both organisations.

According to ARY News correspondent in Islamabad, the Interior Ministry has also directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to block the National Identity Cards and passports of the thirty-five sanctioned members and launch a investigation into their financial assets.
