According to details, the tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Dir, Malakand, Swat and several other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province.
People came out of their homes while reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba.
The epicentre of the earthquake was in the Hindukush mountainous range in Afghanistan at the depth of 310 kilometres, according to seismological centre.
