5.5 intensity quake jolts Swat, other areas
According to meteorological department, the intensity of the earthquake was measured as 5.5 at the Richter scale and its epicentre was the border areas of Tajikistan.
Severe tremors were felt in Swat, Mingora and parts of the northern areas.
Feeling the quake tremors people left their homes in panic.
Earthquakes tremors were felt in Malakand, Swat, Dir where the people left homes and buildings out of panic and fear.
No casualties or damage of property has been reported immediately.
A magnitude 7.7 quake hit Pakistan’s Balochistan province in September 2013, killing at least 376 people.
Pakistan was struck by a 7.6-magnitude earthquake in 2005 that killed over 80,000 people and left around 3.5 million homeless.
