When British Custom Intelligence searched the crew of PIA’s PK-788, they recovered not only currency but mobile phones as well, from seven members of the crew.
Assistant Manager Scheduling and Owais Quraishi and five other members were arrested by the authorities in London. London police is currently interrogating the arrested crew members over money laundering and currency smuggling allegations. After reported warnings by the British Agency, the resulting violations could result in a ban or heavy fine for the national airline.
