Najam Sethi named ICC President

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the patron-in-chief of Pakistan Cricket Board, has endorsed the nomination of senior journalist and former PCB chief Najam Sethi as the President of International Cricket Council (ICC), ARY News reported.

Sethi will assume charge of his two-year term from July 1, 2015.

Reports were going rounds that the PCB was considering Sethi for the ICC position, which has now been reduced to a titular one after the recent amendment in the international cricket laws by ‘Big Three’ – Australia, England and India.
