Abandoning Pak-Iran Pipeline will increase energy crisis: Gillani

MULTAN: Former Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gillani has said that if Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline Project does not accomplish like Kala Bagh dam, then the persisting energy crisis will further increase – ARY News reports.

He was talking to media at Multan airport on Friday.

Gillani told that during his tenure the NATO supply remained blocked for 7 months and no drone attack was carried out during that period. He added that with drone attacks continued in Pakistan, Government’s negotiations with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) will definitely be obstructed.

In return of a question about NAB cases against him, the ex-PM said that it has become a routine practice for him and NAB is at complete liberty to open as much cases against him as it wants.

Commenting on the Local Body (LB) elections, he stated that the MNAs and land transferring officials had to conduct these polls, however the elections will be held in a better way after the delay.

He further added that the affairs relating to worsened law and order situation in Karachi, will be clarified further with talks with Taliban.
