Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case: Court reserves decision on Musharraf till February 20

According to details, a hearing for the Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case was held in the federal capital today. The proceedings were conducted in the presence of Additional and Sessions Judge Pervez Al Qadir Memon. A decision regarding General (retd) Musharraf’s request to obtain immunity from appearing in court for the case, was preserved by the court till February 20.

Pervez Musharraf was being represented at the court by Malik Tahir advocate while Tariq Asad advocate was representing Lal Masjid. Lal Masjid’s advocate Tariq Asad said during proceedings that he wished to present a CD on Pervez Musharraf at court. Malik Tahir advocate raised an objection to this and said questioned if a law existed that allowed Tariq Asad to present a CD in court against his client.

Arguments regarding Musharraf’s request for permanent exemption from appearing in court have been concluded. The court will announce the decision on February 20.
