Abid Sher Ali nominated in PTI worker’s killing case

FAISALABAD: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali and 24 others have been nominated in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) killing case, ARY News reports.

A shooting incident took place after the voting for the first phase of the local bodies election in Faisalabad came to an end due to which a PTI worker named Mubashir was killed.

Five others were also injured in the firing.

Mubashir’s family protested against Punjab Police and the provincial government by placing the body at Samandri Road.

The case was filed by one of Mubashir’s relative in which 25 persons including State Minister Abid Sher Ali and Punjab Assembly member Tahir Jameel have been nominated.

Three suspects have also been arrested.

The slain PTI worker’s funeral prayers were offered after the case was filed.
