KARACHI: Pakistan’s famous politician and former senator Faisal Raza Abidi said Monday that Peshawar school attack not only awakened Pakistanis but the whole world, ARY News reported.

Speaking in ARY News program Khara Sach, Abidi lashed out at government and political parties for delaying the operation and starting dialogue with Taliban.

He said that Khwaja Asif accepted that it was government’s mistake to talk with Taliban, the operation should have started in 2013 adding that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fauzia Kasuri too advised his party to revisit their Taliban policy.

Abidi who is famous for his outspoken nature and wearing his opinion on his sleeve said that the nation is looking towards army for solution of their problems while maintaining that in the developed world, a single incident like 9/11 is enough to jolt the nation but here we were sitting idle despite being killed since 2002.

The former PPP senator said that political parties cannot solve this issue as they have a history of making committees and delaying the justice.
