Accepted military courts on govt's request, says Siraj

PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Siraj-ul-Haq has said that the decision of forming military courts was accepted on the request of the federal government, ARY News reports.

Siraj-ul-Haq, speaking to media after the meeting of political Jirga, said that Peshawar has been a target of terrorism for the past three decades.

“We accepted the decision of forming military courts on the request of the federal government”, he said.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Rehman Malik appealed to the Afghan government to hand over Taliban Chief Mullah Fazlullah to Pakistan. He added that the victims of Peshawar Attack should be rewarded the prestigious Nishaan-e-Haider award.

The two political leaders also paid a visit to Peshawar’s Army Public School whereas the members of the Jirga also offered Fateha for the victims of the attack.
