Speaking to a mammoth rally here, Bilawal said, “Moving from one palace to another palace is not called accountability.” He questioned the premier as to why does he run away from courts when it comes to holding him answerable.

He asked people to pray for speedy recovery of the prime minister, since he is to undergo an open-heart surgery in London on Tuesday (tomorrow).

“We do not have personal enmity with anybody. We act is in the interest of country and nation and there is nothing personal,” he said.

He criticised the PM for announcing billions of rupee projects in rallies where people were holding flags of another party. “Lion does not run on diesel,” he taunted Nawaz for seeking support of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman.

The PPP chairman narrated the story of oppression his parents had suffered in different eras terming them ‘ruthless accountability’.

Bemoaning revengeful actions against his party and making a special reference to Dr Asim Hussain, Bilawal said the government was still carrying out their accountability by keeping doctor of former president Asif Ali Zardari under custody.

“But, we believe in transparency and justice,” said the PPP chairman.

He also said elections in Kashmir were just around the corner which would prove to be an important benchmark.
