The campaign is launched through a platform of Elaj Trust – a non-profit organization.
Through his twitter account, Nasir appealed people to contact at 0333-3192636 to volunteer in the campaign. He said the collection drive will begin today at 3pm and continue till 6pm at Teen Talwar area.
Other activists Yusra Askari and Wardah Minhas are also actively promoting the campaign through social media and taking part in it.
Nasir, who was leading protesters in Karachi against activities of the banned Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ), was arrested by the police on Feb 6, 2015 from near the Chief Minister House and was later released on protest of civil society.
