The understanding came at a meeting between Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Country Director ADB Werner Liepach in Islamabad on Sunday.
Mr. Dar asked the Bank to increase funds allocation for Pakistan.
The country director said ADB will ensure investment in Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline and other energy projects, besides in communication and infrastructure sectors. He said ADB provided US $ 900 million to Pakistan last year.
Strategy of the next annual meeting of ADB, to be held in May, was also reviewed.
