In an interview to state television, Lodhi said that Afghanistan should stop involving other countries in its problems.

“The safe havens of terrorists, which escaped to Afghanistan from Pakistan, should be destroyed and the terrorists who have sought shelter in the neighbouring country should be returned to us,” Lodhi said.

“Holding fruitful negotiation for lasting peace in Afghanistan is also the responsibility of the country,” Ambassador Lodhi said.

Pakistan’s representative to the United Nations further said that the drone attacks in Pakistani territory are against the country’s security and sovereignty and violate the UN charter. She added that the country condemns these strikes.

Lodhi further said that international community has supported Pakistan’s steps against terrorism. “Terrorism in the country will soon end,” Lodhi added.
