Afridi was not serious with his performance in World T20: Younis

LAHORE: Pakistan’s Head Coach Waqar Younis submitted his report regarding the team’s performance in the World Twenty20 2016, ARY News reported.

Younis, in his assessment report regarding the team’s show in the World T20, stated that skipper Shahid Afridi was not serious with his performance and did not attend the team meetings and practise sessions.

He also criticized Chief Selector Moin Khan by stating that the fomer wicket keeper and Mohammad Akram had opposed his decision of including Umar Akmal in the squad.

The Head Coach also lashed at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in his reported and mentioned that the organization did not implement the report which he had submitted after the 2015 World Cup due to which the team could not achieve the desired results.

It should be noted that Younis had apologized to the nation over the team’s dismal show in the World T20 this year and had offered to step down from the position as well.
