Agencies probe fake NADRA NICs to Uzair Baloch, others

KARACHI: The law enforcement agencies investigating into more than one national identity cards (NIC) of Uzair Baloch and other top gangsters of Lyari, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

The gang war suspect was arrested by Rangers on Saturday from the outskirts of Karachi. Uzair was attempting to enter the city when he was apprehended by Rangers personnel, officials said.

Uzair Baloch disclosed during his detention that he and other operatives of Lyari gangs had got issued more than one identity cards, sources said.

The intelligence agencies have launched probe about issuance of NICs from National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

The agencies will also question the persons who had attested the documents for issuance of identity cards to Uzair Baloch.

Baloch and other commanders of gang war had got issued more than one NICs from the NADRA office located in Lyari, investigation officials said.

The gang war operatives have also issued passports on their fake identity cards, officials said.

According to officials in one of the NICs of Uzair Baloch his birth date is 10 October 1973, while in the second NIC his birth date is 10 October 1977.
