Govt-PTI talks likely to begin from Saturday

Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday met the PTI leader, Asad Umar to discuss some important points regarding the government-PTI talks.

The PMLN minister was told that the senior vice-president of the party, Shah Mehmood Qureshi was there in Lahore and talks could not be held in his absence.

It was however said that Qureshi will be here in Islamabad in a day or so and then the talks will formally be commenced.

The central information secretary of PTI, Dr Shireen Mazari told that the meeting took place in the wake of the resumption of a dialogue between the two sides.

Sources told that the government-PTI talks are likely to be initiated on Saturday evening and the dialogue will be held in the presence of Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
