LONDON: The Pakistan and Dutch duo Aisam-ul-HaqQureshi-Jean-Julien Rojer has faced a defeat in the third match of Barclays ATP World Tour Finals on Saturday, ARY News reported.
The Croatian-Brazilian team Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo has completed Group A with a perfect 3-0 record in the event with a 7-5, 3-6, 11-9 victory over fifth seeds Aisam and Rogers in 84 minutes battle.
Both teams exchanged service breaks at the start of their second meeting.
At 2-3, Dodig managed to save three break points from 15/40 with two aces and an unreturned first serve.
Dodig and Melo won three points in a row from 4-4 in the Match Tie-break, punching through the defences of Qureshi and Rojer.
They could not convert two match point opportunities at 9-7, but at 9-9 Melo fortuitously struck a forehand return that hit the net and fell dead to leave Qureshi expressionless. Rojer returned a forehand wide to complete the 15-minute Match Tie-break.

The first time qualifier David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco has finished in second position in Group B.
