Aishwarya Rai Bachchan no doubt looked stunning during her meet and lunch with the President of France Francois Hollande. Not only Aishwarya Rai but her colleague and Josh co-star Shah Rukh Khan as well as Aditya Chopra from Yash Raj Films were also invited to the event.
Aishwarya Rai looked every bit the traditional Indian beauty, in her ravishing red Banaras sari and styled hair. The lunch was hosted by Francois Richier, France’s Ambassador to India. There was no specific agenda for the meeting, as earlier French government had told a news agency:-
“The Bollywood celebrities have been invited to have lunch with the President. It is a private event. They will discuss films,” they said.

Bollywood celebrities have often attended Cannes Film Festival, including Aishwarya herself. Also, other Indian celebrities have also been awarded with French awards. Shah Rukh Khan won the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres award in 2007 and also secured the Legion of Honour, which is deemed as France’s highest civilian award.
Aishwarya is also the recipient of the ‘Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters’, which is the second highest civilian honour in France.
