Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan have avoided each other ever since their bitter break-up. A couple very much in love at one point in time, Aishwarya had accused Khan of abusing her during their relationship. However, that is a thing from the past and it seems that the two have moved on. While Salman Khan is in a relationship with Lulia Vantur, a Romanian television presenter, Aishwarya is married happily to Abhishek Bachchan.
Hence the news that she recently backed up Salman should not come as a surprise. Bollywood’s Dabangg Khan is being criticised severely for his appointment as India’s Goodwill Ambassador for the upcoming Rio games. With India’s leading sports personalities slamming the Bollywood superstar, support surprisingly came from Aishwarya’s corner.
The actress was asked at a recent event about her views regarding Salman’s appointment. This is what the actress said:-
“Anybody who is doing good to represent the country and anybody who is working or seeking or standing out for whatever vocation we have in the country be it sports, arts or music, I think that’s wonderful and needs to be recognised.”
What a balanced reply by the Jazbaa actress. Shows Ash has clearly moved on and is moping no longer over the bitter past.
