“Ajay will be there for a special appearance in ‘Dilwale,’” said a source from Shetty’s team to Bollywood Life. “Rohit and Ajay are very close and it is Kajol’s big comeback film. So it did not need too much of cajoling to get Ajay on board.”
It was just recently made known to the public that Shah Rukh Khan will again be seen opposite Kajol, the hit Bollywood on-screen couple from the 90s. Shah Rukh and Kajol will star in the upcoming Rohit Shetty flick titled Dilwale. Sources are now claiming that Kajol’s husband and Singham star Ajay Devgan will also make a cameo appearance in the same movie!
Fans will expect a lot from the film as it would be the very first time since both Shah Rukh and Ajay share screen space along with each other. Though both Bollywood heavyweights haven’t demonstrated animosity of any kind in the past, they have been known to compete as far as movies are concerned. Son of Sardaar and Jab Tak Hai Jaan went head to head in 2012 and it was rumored that both stars had quite the disliking for each other.
Regarding the cast, details were spilled by Rohit Shetty when he recently spoke to the Times of India and spilled the beans. “The film has Shah Rukh Khan with Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Vinod Khanna, Kabir Bedi, Johny Lever and Varun (Choocha) Sharma. It is being made by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Rohit Shetty productions. It is not a remake of any film and will release this Christmas.”
Shah Rukh and Kajol have starred in multiple films which were quite popular with fans. Dil Wale Dulhania Le Jayenge completed a marathon run of more than one thousand weeks at the Marathi Mandir cinema. If Ajay does make a cameo beside his wife, it would certainly boost anticipation for Dilwale!
