Aleem Dar officiates his 100th Test today

CAPE TOWN: Pakistan’s Aleem Dar will become the third elite umpire of ICC who will officiate his 100th test match on Saturday, ARY News reports.

Dar will achieve the distinction by umpiring the second test match between South Africa and England at Newlands which starts from today.

Aleem Dar first started umpiring in 2000 and so far has officiated 99 test matches, 178 one day and 35 Twenty20 matches.

He also won ICC Umpire of the Year award three consecutive years from 2009 till 2011.

Moreover, the Pakistani government rewarded the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz award in 2013 for his contributions.
