Alert: 13 RAW, NDS-linked terrorists enter into twin cities

ISLAMABAD: Intelligence agencies on Monday issued a red alert cautioning administration that 13 terrorists linked with foreign spy agencies have recently entered into Rawalpindi and Islamabad, ARY News reported.

In a letter written to concerned authorities, intelligence agencies alerted them to the presence of 13 terrorists linked with Indian covert agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Afghan National Directorate of Security (NDS).

It further stated that these terrorists are plotting an attack in twin cities and the three-and-a-half kilometer radius around Benazir International Airport is highly sensitive in this regard. The letter read that the information conveyed is credible enough and has been confirmed.

The citizens were also advised to avoid unnecessary travel to said area.

Meanwhile, security in and around the Adiala prison was also beefed up and additional contingents of police were deployed in view of looming security threats.

Sources told that 10 convicts, sentenced to death in different cases, have also been moved to Sahiwal jail from Adiala prison.
