The shoots of the upcoming bollywood film ‘Shandaar’ starring Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor and Pankaj Kapur was stalled on Monday, due to workers’s strike.
‘Shandaar’ the directorial venture of Vikas Bahl landed in trouble when the shooting of the film was stopped by the workers union. The workers went on strike in Essel Studio in Mumbai over monetary issues on Monday. We learnt it that the producers of the film had not cleared the dues of the workers which was about Rs 700,00.
Although the producers had promised to pay 400,000 but the workers did not cancel the strike. When was asked about the issue, the general secretary of the worker union told the media that they will not resume the shooting until the full payment is cleared. “They have this habit of holding onto the payment. They cleared our ‘Bombay Velvet’ payments only when Shaandar went on floors. We will not allow this to happen, ” said the secretary.
According to the reports the shooting resumed the same day when producer promised to pay entire dues by the end of the day.
