KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan has said that no stone will be left unturned in keeping Karachi clean on Eid-ul-Azha, ARY News reported.

He made the statement while visiting different areas of Karachi on Tuesday. He reviewed the ongoing sanitation work in the city.

The governor said that all resources will be availed in keeping the city clean. “Diseases will spread rapidly if sanitation work does not take place,” he added.

Ebad said that local representatives are fulfilling their duties responsibly.

“The metropolis has become peaceful once again and the citizens do not fear anything. Credit goes to the targeted operations in the city,” Ebad said.

Sindh Governor added that powers should be given to local representatives to further develop the city.

Khan went on to say that Shikarpur remained safe from a major terrorist attack due to the protection which was provided by the security forces. He added that police officers played their role in foiling the terror bid.

He stated that he is willing to listen to the reservations of all political parties regarding the Karachi operation.

The governor said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar’s medical condition is fine.
