Altaf appeals masses to avoid chants

LONDON/KARACHI: MQM chief Altaf Hussain has urged people to avoid any move that could hamper peaceful electoral atmosphere, ARY News reported.

“I also appeal masses avoid raising slogans in their respective areas upon arrival of contesting candidates in the constituency”, he said.

Mr. Hussain also urged his party MQM and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to constitute joint committee to prevent occurrence of any untoward incident ahead of the by-elections of National Assembly constituency (NA-246).

In his address to workers today, the MQM chief said the Supreme Court had identified militant wings of all parties, however, he added, only MQM offices were raided.

He said those who raised ‘charged slogans’ during PTI rally were general public and not the MQM workers.

We will respect masses irrespective of their vote to whomever, he added. He said he once again invited PTI to hold its rally at Jinnah Ground.
