Altaf asks PAT, PTI to cancel sit-ins due to floods

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has once again requested Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to postpone their sit-ins in view of the floods in the country, ARY News reports on Tuesday.

Altaf Hussain, in a statement, said that he swears by God that he would have called off his sit-ins in Islamabad due to the floods in the country and helped the affected people.

“It is against my conscience to stage entertaining sit-ins for demands in view of the current flood situation in the country”, he said.

He added that various diseases are being spread due to the trash piles and the people are facing hunger.

Hussain appealed the two parties to fulfill their religious, cultural and ethical obligations and cancel the ongoing sit-ins in Islamabad and resume once the situation improves.

MQM Chief prayed to God to give strength to everyone for helping the people affected by the floods.
