Altaf demands new provinces in the country

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has demanded that new provinces should be made in the country on administrative level, ARY News reports.

Altaf Hussain, in a statement, said that it is the requirement of time that at least 20 new provinces should be made.

The MQM chief, while giving reference to foreign countries, said that India has 36 provinces, Afghanistan has 24 and Iran has 31 whereas Pakistan has only four provinces.

He has also urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leaders Imran Khan and Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri to start negotiations with the government on immediate basis to resolve the political crisis.
