Altaf denounces attack on PTV building

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the storming of PTV building in Islamabad on Monday, ARY News reports.

Altaf Hussain, in a statement, said that buildings like PTV are a symbol of the state and it is the responsibility of all citizens to respect them. He also said that attacking the buildings, in the name of protest, cannot be justified in any way.

“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leaders Imran Khan and Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri should warn their activists against storming buildings like PTV or Radio Pakistan and the institutions should be respected”, he maintained.

Altaf Hussain, said that the protesters at Constitution Avenue should realize that the state institution are theirs and they should not undermine the integrity of the state by damaging the buildings.

“You (protesters) should protest but stay peaceful and do not damage any institution or their buildings”, Hussain added.
