Altaf Hussain urges workers to remain peaceful, patient

MQM chief while asking his workers to remain peaceful remarked that the public wrath was a reaction of speeches by some Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders.

He condemned the incident and offered his sympathies to PTI leaders over the episode which saw PTI election camp uprooted.

MQM chief said that the way Nine Zero (MQM headquarter) was raided, arrest and extrajudicial murder of workers has infuriated the people of Karachi.

Altaf Hussain maintained that Farooq Sattar and other MQM leaders reached the spot and tried to calm down the people and he himself appealed the mob to disperse.

MQM chief asked all his  supporters to remain patient and exercise restraint as God sides with those with patience.

“Your hearts are grieved, so is mine”, said Altaf.

The Karimabad Scuffle

Political temperature heated up for the second time in a day between MQM and PTI workers who faced off each other in Karimabad area, prompting police to intervene.

MQM workers had gathered outside PTI election camp and chanted slogans against PTI. Some of the MQM activists reportedly thrashed workers of rival political party and burnt PTI flag.

Police nabbed both of the violent political workers. Amid the face-off, PTI workers also raised slogans against the MQM.
