Altaf Hussain appeals PAT,PTI to put off protest for flood victims

KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has appealed protesting parties in Islamabad to put off their sit-ins in the view of difficulties being faced by the people due to devastating floods and torrential rains, ARY News reported.

In a statement, Altaf Hussain has suggested the parties staging protest demonstration in federal capital to hand support to the people affected by the natural disaster instead of carrying protest movement.

“I will instantly called off the protest if I am taking part in any such movement, and I will form teams to send them in the areas affected by natural disaster helping people facing starving situation”, he added.

MQM Chief said carrying protest full of dancing and singing in such devastating situation is inappropriate and not according to his consciences.

“Keeping in view the destruction caused by floods and rain, I appeal Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) to postpone their protest”, said Altaf Hussain.

He prayed Almighty Allah for guidance allowing people of Pakistan to help families became victim of flood.
