Altaf Hussain withdraws decision to sever ties with MQM

KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain on Monday withdrew his decision to quit as party chief after being forced by the workers, ARY News reported.

The MQM Chief while announcing to resign as party chief in the morning today asked party workers to elect a new chief for MQM.

In a telephonic address to party’s office bearers, Altaf Hussain said that he cannot run the affairs of the party anymore asking workers to elect a new chief in the evening.

He asked party workers to dissolve MQM and put all their efforts for charity work if fail to elect anyone as party chief.

The announcement made workers emotional and they chant slogans in favor of Altaf Hussain imploring him to review his decision upon which Altaf Hussain withdrew his earlier announcement to sever ties with the party.
