Shah opines over Altaf-Ibad riddle

ISLAMABAD: Opining over Altaf Hussain’s statement against Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said that MQM chief might be looking to prove governor neutral ahead of Karachi by-polls, ARY News reported.

Talking to media in Islamabad today, Khursheed Shah said that there can be two reasons behind Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief’s displeasure with Governor Ishratul Ibad:

“First, Altaf can be genuinely annoyed with Ibad,” Shah said. “Second, the MQM chief wanted to reflect governor’s neutrality in connection to the NA-246 Karachi by-election.”

Earlier, Altaf Hussain had said that Governor Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ibad has no affiliation with the MQM.

In his word with a private television channel this morning, the MQM chief had referred to Ibad as a ‘representative of the establishment’.
