Altaf reaches London police station in money laundering case

Earlier, the MQM chief left his home in northwest London accompanied by MQM leaders Babar Ghauri, Barrister Saif and others to reach the police station after completion of his bail period today.

Police officials will decide whether the MQM chief will be charged or granted bail in money laundering case.

Altaf Hussain was arrested on June 3, 2014 during the course of a money laundering investigation launched in July 2013 by the London Metropolitan Police. After initial investigation the MQM leader was graned bail till July 30, 2014. He appeared in the police station on July 31st after which he was granted bail till April 14, 2015.

According to police sources, due to the ill health of the MQM chief arrangements have been made at a hospital in London.

Speaking to media outside police station, Altaf Hussain greeted all Pakistanis with ‘Salam’.
