Altaf wants MQM youth on social media

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday asked the young workers of his party to get active on social media websites, ARY News reported.

Addressing his party workers in Jinnah Ground on the night between Wednesday and Thursday , MQM chief opined that none can eliminate MQM if the party workers and supporters show unity.

Hussain besides ordering workers and supporters to prepare for the upcoming NA-246 by-polls advised women to cast their votes before menfolk.

MQM chief further urged the youth supporting MQM to get active on social media and defend party’s viewpoint on the popular platform.

He repeated his older stance about party’s convincing win in the constituency considered as their stronghold albeit in a different way.

23 April ko muqabla nahi muqabli hogee”, said Altaf Hussain.

(There will not be a proper competition but small resistance against MQM’s established vote bank).

The NA-246 constituency of Karachi will witness a by-poll on April 23 as the seat fell vacant after Nabil Gabol who was elected on the ticket of MQM in the 2013 general elections resigned from his seat after developing differences with the party.

A number of candidates are participating in the election with the most notable being MQM’s Kunwar Naveed Jamil, PTI’s Imran Ismail and JI’s Rashid Nasim. The by-polls are due to be held on April 23, 2015.
