Altaf withdraws decision to shut down MQM offices

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain early morning Thursday withdrew his orders of closure of the MQM offices, ARY News reports.

MQM chief on Wednesday night ordered closure of all offices of the party including its Nine Zero headquarters.

Altaf Hussain was angry with Rabita Committee over certain organisational matters, party sources said. Hussain last night telephoned members of the committee and directed them to close all offices.

After Altaf Hussain’s directive all party departments were closed.

The party leaders and members then converged outside Altaf Hussain’s Azizabad residence in a bid to calm him down.

MQM chief on request of the party workers withdrew his decision of closing the party offices this morning.
