Altaf, Zardari discuss senate polls, future political scenario

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain talked on telephone and discussed the recently concluded senate polls, ARY News reported on Monday.

Both the leaders exchanged views on the election on the slots of chairman, deputy chairman senate and the political situation of the country.

The former president Asif Ali Zardari said that reconciliation and unity among political forces is vital in the current political situation.

Altaf Hussain while agreeing with the PPP co-chairman thanked him for co-operation in the Senate elections and remarked that all political parties shall respect each other’s mandate.

It must be remembered that political party leaders are actively communicating with each other after the recently concluded Senate polls.
