Speaking in a presser at Auckland, Waqar Younis said that Amir has paid a heavy price for his deeds in the past five years. He added that the pacer has performed well in the domestic season and the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
“I hope Amir performs well at international level and will yield good result”, Younis said.
Pakistan’s Twenty20 captain Shahid Afridi that Amir’s performance and behavior is improving.
The coach said that the young players in the squad for the series against New Zealand will learn a lot from the tour.
Afridi also said that the squad for the T20 series against New Zealand is based on talented players.
“We will try to perform well in the Twenty20 series against the Kiwis”, Afridi said.
