He has said that UK authorities have expressed willing to issue visa to Muhammad Amir, but have reservations over Salman Butt and Muhammad Asif. If they are selected then further efforts will be made to secure visas for them.

He was speaking to media during the opening ceremony of the fielding and fitness camp at Gaddafi Stadium.

The decision to select the new head coach will be made during the Board of Governors (BoG) meeting to be held on 3rd May. The post has remained vacant after Waqar Younis resigned last month.

The West Indies has apparently agreed to play a pink ball day-night Test match in the UAE but no final decision had been made in this regard.

He said that it would be beneficial if the number of team is increased in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) but the final decision would be made by Najam Sethi who is also the chairman of PSL.

Pakistan is scheduled to tour England and Ireland from 3 July to 7 September 2016 for a four-match Test series, a five-match One Day International (ODI) series and a one-off Twenty20 International (T20I) against England.
