Anam’s four wicket haul helps Pakistan whitewash Bangladesh

KARACHI: Pakistani spinner Anam Amin took four wickets as Pakistan Women defeated Bangladesh Women by 69 runs and clinch the two match series 2-0 at Karachi, ARY News reports.

Bangladesh Women won the toss and chose to bat first. They managed to put up just 123/9 on the scoreboard. Only three of its batswomen scoring in double figures.

Ayasha Rahman was the top scorer with 39 runs while Nigar Sultana scored 30 runs and Ritu Moni made 28 runs.

Anam Amin was the stand out bowler for Pakistan as she took four wickets in her 10 overs. She bowled five maidens and conceded just seven runs.

Asmavia Iqbal took three wickets whereas Sania Khan got one wicket as well.

The green shirts reached the total in 38.3 overs with six wickets to spare.

Bismah Maroof was the highest scorer in the team with 41 runs whereas Marina Iqbal made 31 runs. Nain Abidi made 22 runs for the team as well. Anam Amin was named the Player of the Match.

Bangladesh bowler Nahida Akter took two wickets while Rumana Ahmed dismissed one batswoman.
