Angry PIA passengers refuse Malik to board flight

KARACHI: A rare sight was witnessed on board a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Islamabad bound flight as its angry passengers refused to allow two parliamentarians board their flight, ARY News reports on Tuesday.

The passengers on board the PIA flight PK-370 thought that the flight was delayed due to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Rehman Malik and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) National Assembly member Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani. Angered by the two hour delay, the passengers refused the two parliamentarians to board the flight.

Sources said that the flight crew told the passengers that the flight was being delayed due to technical issues, not because of the parliamentarians.

The People’s Party senator, in a Twitter message, claimed that it was announced that the flight has been delayed. He added that the passengers wrongly thought the the flight was delayed because of him.

Two staff members of the national airliner have been suspended as they were held responsible for delaying the flight.
