The first phase of the campaign will be completed on 12th November whereas the second round of the immunization drive will take place from 13th to 20th November, officials said.
The drive is underway in Western, Southern and Central districts of Karachi. Polio officials stated that polio drops will be administered to children living in southern parts of Korangi district, Malir district and Eastern district of the metropolis in the second phase.
As many as 1025343 children will be administered polio drops — of them, 516680 in Karachi West, 345778 in Central and 162885 in the Eastern district of the metropolis.
It should be noted was postponed twice due to lack of proper security and other issues.
