‘Anybody can contest elections,’ Imran reacts to Zardari’s election bid

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan baulked on the announcement by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari  that he would participate in elections to be a part of parliament.

The PTI chairman speaking to reporters at his Banigala residence appeared hesitant when asked his reaction that the announcement made by Zardari.

“Anybody can contest elections and come to parliament,” he said.

Zardari while addressing during the ninth death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto made the announcement that he and Bilawal Bhutto would contest elections and be a part of parliament.

PTI Vice-President Shah Mehmood Qureshi also appeared to not comment saying that he cannot decipher why Zardari made the decision to be part of the current parliament.

He said that they will wait to for party policy to make a decision.
