Apex committee decides to extend operation to other Sindh cities

KARACHI: A meeting of the provincial apex committee presided over by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif decided to extend Karachi operation to other cities of the province, ARY News reported on Monday.

Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif, Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and former president Asif Ali Zardari also attended the meeting.

The meeting also decided to   depoliticize Sindh Police department and discussed the proposal of the transfer and postings in police force through the Apex Committee.

The meeting decided to continue Karachi operation till attaining the desired results and to extend it to other cities of Sindh.

The apex committee decided to impose strict ban on the use of loadspeakers and wall chalking for spreading religious hatred.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif earlier held a meeting with former president Asif Ali Zardari at Governor House in Karachi. The two leaders discussed the law and order situation in Karachi.

Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah also held meetings with the prime minister.
