Army chief arrives in Czech Republic to boost relations

PRAGUE: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif Wednesday arrived in Czech Republic on a day-long visit aiming to boost ties between the two countries, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

He was presented with a guard of honour on his arrival. DG ISPR, Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa said the COAS met many high ranking officials including the Czech Chief of General Staff and the deputy defense minister.



They discussed issues of mutual interests including military cooperation and defence cooperation. They also expressed special interest in the training of officers by Pakistan Army. Czech Republic appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism and the success in the ongoing operation.
